Networked Life, 2013

Networked Life is a 365-day art project featuring hundreds of networks. Every day for an entire year, a network was illustrated in a variety of media to examine layers of interconnectivity across disciplines, revealing common network structures such as radial networks and tree-like structures. A network is defined in structural terms as an arrangement of intersecting lines but also as populations of people and things, including transportation systems, social interactions, broadcasting stations as well as interlinked machines, operations, and electrical conductors. Viewers are invited to make their own visual connections by rearranging the tiles to discover common structural properties.
