Inploring Within

On April 11, Tomorrow Lab presented the Astronaut Reality Helmet at Yuri’s Night Los Angeles 2026 at Griffith Observatory, in collaboration with artist, curator, and analog astronaut Richelle Ellis.

Featuring Ellis’s immersive video work, the helmets became portals for space education, inviting audiences to experience a glimpse of the Overview Effect and reflect on Earth as one fragile, interconnected whole.

Projection-mapped visuals, embedded audio, and synchronized playback transformed each helmet into a self-contained dome of planetary perspective — merging art, technology, and cosmic imagination.

Presented alongside astronauts, scientists, artists, and thousands of attendees, the experience invited the public to reflect on where we are headed as a species, and how seeing Earth from a distance can deepen our care for life on this planet.
